Saiu pela Columbia Press o livro Rawls's Political Liberalism, editado por Thom Brooks (Durham) e Martha Nussbaum (Chicago). O livro procura reunir os artigos mais originais produzidos nos últimos anos sobre o livro O Liberalismo Político (1993; 1996) de John Rawls. Como se sabe, muitos consideram O Liberalismo Político - para o bem ou para o mal - uma revisão substantiva das teses originais de Rawls contidas em Uma Teoria da Justiça (1971). Outros autores, no entanto, o consideram uma contribuição filosófica tão importante quanto sua teoria da justiça, na medida em que Rawls foi capaz de re-introduzir na filosofia política contemporânea o problema central da justificação do exercício da coerção política até então ignorado pelo debate sobre teorias da justiça que ele próprio havia inaugurado.
