Activities
Fellows contribute to, and participate in, a twice monthly Center for Ethics and Public Affairs Faculty Seminar and have the opportunity to participate wide variety of academic events both at Tulane and the Murphy Institute. Most of their time, however, is devoted to their own research and writing.
Eligibility
Fellows are selected by external reviewers and members of the Center’s Faculty Committee. Applicants are judged on the basis of the quality of achievements in their field of specialization and ability to benefit from work in the Center, the contributions they are likely to make in the future through teaching and writing, and the probable significance of their proposed research and its relevance to the purpose of the Center. Applicants should hold a doctorate in philosophy, political science, political theory, or political economy (or a related discipline), or a professional, terminal degree in a field such business, law, or medicine, at the time of application. Applicants should also have a full-time college or university appointment at the time of application. Preference will be given to applicants at an early stage of their careers, normally no more than ten years from the terminal degree in their field. Center Faculty Fellowships are open to all faculty regardless of citizenship.
